–The 4th Annual Waldo Waldo 5K costume run will take place Saturday October 17 at the Pioneers Museum in downtown Colorado Springs. With their registration fee, participants will receive a Waldo or Wenda costume kit that includes a shirt, hat and glasses. Waldo and Wenda are characters from the popular “Where’s Waldo?” children’s books. Money raised from the race will go to support Waldo Canyon restoration. Cost to participate is $35. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

Something else: Free parking at Antlers Hilton hotel, 4 S. Cascade Ave., must enter from Pikes Peak Avenue or Antlers Place. All other downtown parking garages are $1.
Closure notice: Tejon Street will be closed from Costilla to Cache La Poudre streets. The north half of the route will reopen around 11 a.m. and the street by the Pioneers Museum will reopen around 2 p.m.
