The Bear Creek Dog Park was established in 1997 at the request of Colorado Springs citizens who wanted a safe place to let their dogs off-leash. It is now the most heavily used facility in the County’s park system with 90,000 visitors bringing their dogs to the park every year. www.adm.elpasoco.com/BearCreekDogPark
The 24 acre Bear Creek Dog Park has a ¾ mile loop trail that owners and pets can hike on, stabilized pools within ⅓ mile of creek access for dogs to play in, a holding pen near restrooms and a penned small dog area. About ½ of the park is fenced off from the rest of the park to prevent conflicts with other park visitors.Wikipedia
The Bear Creek Dog Park is located at 21st Street and Rio Grande on the West side of Colorado Springs. A volunteer organization, Friends of Bear Creek Dog Park, supports the park.
